    I've already bragged about reading it in Japanese, so I don't feel terribly compromised posting it. By the way, Murakami's first novel, "Hear the Wind Sing," or 風の歌を聞け(Kaze no uta wo kike), is apparently also and available for $30 and up here: http://www.amazon.com/Hear-Wind-Sing-Haruki-Murakami/dp/B000I1SJBS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207186617&sr=8-1
    And probably other places for much less. 1973 Pinball is also available for $400 and up...
